‘From The Heart’

Original on canvas, 16 x 20. $250.00

Quote on this piece read:
” Let your self be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love.It will not lead you astray”- RUMI

This piece represents a message from the heart. The hand mudrā is called VITARKA – Teaching Transmission or Discussion.

What is Vitarka Mudra? Vitarka mudra is interpreted as the hand gestue that evokes the energy of teaching and intellectual discussion. It mostly feels like the transmission of a particular teaching with no words, and the circle formed by the thumb and index finger creates a constant flow of energy/information.

Healing Benefits of Vitarka Mudra:
The Vitarka Mudra promotes the energy of teaching and of discussion and helps to prevent us from entering argumentative states of mind.

When using the Vitarka Mudra you will feel a calming energy that is useful for reducing internal conflict. This energy opens our mind to intellectual conversation and evokes a feeling of silent wisdom.

The Vitarka Mudra (mudra of discussion) is made by joining the tips of the thumb and the index together, keeping the other fingers straight, and turning the palm outward. The thumb and the index finger touch to form a circle which symbolizes the constant flow of energy and information. The circle, having neither a beginning or end, is the symbol of perfection, resembling the Law of Buddha which is eternal and perfect.

As it is a mudra of knowledge, it enhances the knowledge. The tip of thumb has centers of pituitary and endocrine glands. When we press these centers by index finger the two glands work actively.
